The world has come a long way since Versatile Fibreglass Products began producing tanks in 1970. Times may have changed, the name has changed, but the quality and workmanship of Versa fibreglass tanks and products have not. On January 1, 2003, Versa Fibreglass Products was acquired by Focus Industries Inc., a privately-held, St. Albert, AB based company with over 20 years experience in the manufacture and distribution of fibreglass tanks. This exciting new partnership has allowed the people at Versa to come out with exciting and innovative new products like our line of easy burial water and sewage tanks.
Versa tanks are now fabricated in Saskatoon, SK under the same stringent quality control procedures that have been in place since 1970. The tanks are warehoused at our expanded St. Albert, AB facility and can be shipped directly from the Saskatoon, SK fabrication facility on request.
As times change, we have adapted as well. We now fabricate and distribute a wide variety of tanks to help you get LEED credits on green building projects. Our wastewater treatment systems are capable of producing raw sewage to the point where the effluent could be, in theory, discharged directly into lakes and rivers without any adverse affects. We have partnered to deliver a unique fiberglass/concrete hybrid tank to the Alberta marketplace. And our contractor customers have demanded and we have responded by bringing in septic and onsite accessories such as septic field chambers, pumps and Tuff-tite and Polylok onsite filters and accessories.
We currently boast more than 70 models of CSA certified tanks. We manufacture Drop & Go easy burial septic tanks, as well as a wide variety of horizontal style underground septic tanks, sewage holding tanks and water tanks. We fabricate outhouse and toilet tanks, as well as small CSA certified underground tanks that are perfect for lakelots and cottages.
New to Focus Industries are Bionest fibreglass sewage treatment plants. These NSF Class 40 and BNQ treatment systems are the future of onsite sewage treatment. Sewage is treated within the plant resulting in less impact on your disposal field, less smell and in many cases significantly smaller disposal fields. Our Bionest/tank combo is unique in that only one main tank is required for most installations, as opposed to at least two and sometimes three tanks for other fiberglass, polyethylene or concrete combinations.
We are very pleased to distribute ZCL fiberglass underground water/wastewater tanks and accessories as well. These tanks have been installed everywhere in North America and are renowned for their extremely precise engineering standards, quality construction and durability. Designed to withstand H20 traffic loads as well as fully submerged conditions even when empty, these ZCL tanks can be shipped throughout Canada from manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, AB, Drummondville, QC and Hagerstown, MD.
High water tables, traffic loads and extreme ground conditions can make installation of a fiberglass tank more difficult. Other options, such as precast concrete don't offer the lifespan and polyethylene or plastic tanks are simply not an option. For these difficult conditions comes patented Tanksmart technology. Utilizing a corrosion-free fiberglass liner, these tanks are coated, onsite, with a light and sprayable version of concrete called shotcrete. When it cures, the tank has the excecllent corrosion resistance properties of fiberglass with the strenght of concrete.
Our above ground line of tanks include the famously popular Versa Horizontal Hauling Tanks, as well as Bolt Together and One Piece Indoor Water Tanks and Large Above Ground Tanks.
These lightweight tanks are tough and will do the job!
In addition, we manufacture tanks that are designed to fit through doors, down stairs and be assembled onsite. These unique above ground water cisterns are perfect for those difficult spaces.
Our long lasting, rust free vacuum tanks are extremely popular for those looking for an alternative to heavy and expensive steel vacuum tanks. From tiny 25 gallon tanks to huge 3500 gallon or larger custom-painted jobs, we can make the tank for you.
In additional to traditional below and above ground tanks we manufacture a wide range of custom wetwells, sumps and lift stations. These products can have diameters as small as 24" to as large as 12', all in almost any length. We also manufacture oilfield wellhead shelters, dual wall tanks for non-fuel storage, fiberglass spill trays and forest fire lookouts (cupolas).
We also resell specialty polyethyelene tanks for difficult applications such as sodium hypochlorite storage and underground poly tanks for applications where traditional fiberglass tanks aren't ideal.
(Please note: water cisterns are not CSA certified and do not require certification.)
