Choosing the right tank for your conditions
Above Ground
If you are looking for an above ground tank I would suggest that you contact our sales team. We manufacture a wide range of above ground tanks for many water, wastewater and chemical storage applications. Depending on the product being stored, we may suggest a polyethylene tank, either supplied by us or by one of the many tank suppliers and manufacturers that we deal with. We won't try to force a fiberglass tank onto you. Sometimes we don't have the tank for your application, and we readily admit it!
Underground
If you are looking for an underground tank we've got many options that will suit your needs. Here are a few factors that you need to consider:
• Burial depth
• Ground water level / water tables
• Traffic loading
• Type
• Size
• Application
In general, our underground tanks are built to three different standards:
Focus Industries Regular Duty Tanks
Regular Duty tanks are suitable for up to 5' or 7' cover, depending on the model. Regular Duty tanks are only suitable for dry locations (no water table) and must not exceed the depth listed on the tank. Conventional septic tanks and sewage treatment systems are only available in Regular Duty and Heavy Duty standards.
ZCL Composites Heavy Duty Tanks
All ZCL fiberglass tanks are suitable for 7' cover in the harshest wet conditions where the tank can be fully submerged in water, even while empty, and they will not collapse or, when equipped with engineered deadman anchors, float out of the ground. All ZCL tanks are also suitable for H20 traffic loads when installed exactly to the installation instructions. ZCL tanks are the only fiberglass-only tank where warranties aren't voided in high watertable applications.
If your application calls for tanks that can be installed at burial depths beyond 7', the ZCL tanks can be specially fabricated to work as well.
Conventional Focus Industries septic tanks and sewage treatment systems are not available in the Heavy Loading standard.
Tanksmart Extreme Condition Hybrid Tanks
Utilizing Tanksmart technology we are able to create a corrosion-resistant tank that can stand up to virtually any application and does not require external anchoring. In general Tanksmart technology is only cost effective on sizes 5,000 imperial gallons or larger in difficult conditions.
